And, finally – the big day, Geek Girl Meetup spring conference. I always hold my breath before I enter the place. It’s magic to see all that stuff that I designed and e-mailed to different printers materialize in one place. The roll-ups, the badges and the stickers, and pacmen of all sizes. I take a look around, hug everyone, take some pictures. Look once, look closer. Apart from some minor flaws, it all turned out pretty well. Now I feel happy and ready for the inspiration. Game on!
As the Geek Girl spring conference is approaching, we are all swarmed with geek work. Myself and Maria Söderberg are working on the new site, that is due to be launched two weeks before the conference. Here are some pics from our evening work session at Pangea design, me finalizing the design, Maria doing the programming and Heidi organizing things in all directions. Nice to see the site is taking shape. Here’s a sneak peek, with some familiar faces.
It was fantastic to be at Geek Girl Meetup today and see all familiar faces, or, even more often, recognize the person from my Twitter stream. What made me especially happy today is seeing the new visual identity go live. It’s been a great journey developing it and now that it has finally materialized I feel very happy.
